Davis was born and raised in southwest Colorado near the four corners area of New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona. After finishing college in Colorado, Davis worked for a couple years in restaurants in the small ski town of Telluride, CO before moving out west to Portland. Falling into the wine business by accident for easy money during harvest, Davis found himself falling in love with the wine world of the Pacific Northwest. After working at local urban winery Enso winery, Davis started taking courses with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust eventually attaining his advanced award in wine and is currently working on his diploma. He also has a special certificate as a French Wine Scholar and is a certified sommelier with the court of master sommeliers America’s. After working in wine sales representing high-end brands like Weygandt-Metzler, Dujac, Vie di Romans, Stags Leap, and Penfolds. Davis decided to move back into the restaurant world because he missed getting customers to try new wines from regions and grapes they had never heard of. Most recently Davis was a front of house manager and assistant wine manager at Olympia Provisions northwest restaurant. When he’s not pouring wine he is working on his prerequisites for nursing school next fall.
