Brian came to Oregon in 2015 and hails from the great state of Massachusetts. Prior to joining the back-of-the-house crew, Brian managed political campaigns and drafted legislation in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Brian’s came of age on a steady diet of public television cooking, home renovation, and gardening shows.
Elbowing his way into the kitchen to serve his first family dinner at the age of 6, Brian has worked in restaurants and on farms since he was 13, harvesting green beans and slinging yakitori at bluegrass festivals. His early dreams of becoming a chef took a back seat to politics after being elected to student council and joining the mock trial team.
At the winery, Brian keeps the dishes clean and the glassware sparkling. He’s been known on occasion to show up for his shift bearing a basket of quince or Italian plums for the kitchen. When he’s not knocking doors for a candidate or cleaning out the sink drain, Brian fills his weekends with estate sales, camping, and painting on Sauvie Island.
